In the following year, the image received viral spread online through reposts, primarily on Instagram and Facebook. On April 1st, 2020, Facebook page Kame House reposted the first derivative meme based on the image, originally made by defunct meme page Zenkai Boost. The repost gained over 200 reactions and 120 shares in two years (shown below, left).
On February 22nd, 2021, Instagram page kyojinjump (previously facts-ackerman) posted an Attack on Titan version of the meme. The post (shown below, center) gained over 144,800 likes in one year. On February 24th, 2021, kyojinjump posted another Attack on Titan version which received over 48,400 likes in the same period (shown below, right).
