Legends: Arceus – Every Pokémon Catchable In Crimson Mirelands

Once trainers reach the Crimson Mirelands in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, there will be new Pokémon for them to discover, catch, and add to the Pokédex.

The Crimson Mirelands is the second major area of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, which players will be able to explore after they’ve calmed Kleavor in the “Frenzy of the Lord of the Woods” mission and reached Star Rank Two. This boggy area features plenty of rivers, lakes, and ponds, making it a great place to catch swamp-loving Pokémon like Croagunk and Tangela. Players can encounter 70 different Pokémon in this area of the map as they carry out Research Tasks and study wild Pokémon to complete the ancient Hisui Pokédex. Pokémon Legends: Arceus completely changed the way that players catch and interact with Pokémon as players will now have to approach Pokémon freely roaming in the wild rather than encountering them in tall grass like previous Pokémon titles.

Catching wild Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus requires a lot more strategy than games of the past as these free-roaming Pokémon will react to players approaching them, and each different species has its own temperament. Some Pokémon will flee when they spot a trainer heading their way, while others will become aggressive and attack the player directly. Some will even be completely indifferent, allowing players to get near without any trouble at all. In addition to the variety of Poké Balls available in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, players can use items like Berries and Smoke Bombs to make catching Pokémon easier, and using resources like this to their advantage will make it much easier for players to fill the Pokédex and complete all of the Research Tasks required for each entry.

Along with the regular Pokémon that roam the Crimson Mirelands in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, players can encounter special Legends: Arceus Pokémon known as Alpha Pokémon that are much stronger and more aggressive than others of their species. While these powerful Pokémon can be fearsome to face, especially if players are unprepared, they can also be caught like any other Pokémon and make great additions to the trainer’s team. However, Alpha Pokémon can easily overwhelm a player and cause them to black out, so it’s crucial to go in with an effective strategy and all the items necessary to successfully calm and capture them.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus – All Pokémon In Crimson Mirelands

Yanma is one of the Pokemon trainers can catch in the Crimson Mirelands of Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

The Crimson Mirelands are home to a wide variety of Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, and trainers can encounter plenty of Water, Bug, Grass, and Poison-Types by exploring this region of the map. Players will also be able to find Cyndaquil and its evolutions in this area once they’ve beaten the game’s main story, allowing them to add its information to the Pokédex if they didn’t choose Cyndaquil as their Legends: Arceus starter. Certain species of Pokémon will only spawn during specific times of the day or under specific conditions. In addition, many Pokémon in the Crimson Mirelands will spawn at more than one location within the area, but others can only be found in one part of the map, so players will have plenty of exploring to do as they track down and catch each one.

In addition to Alpha Pokémon, players can also encounter a variety of rare Pokémon in Space-Time Distortions that begin to appear across Hisui once players progress far enough in Pokémon Legends: Arceus’ story. Players are notified when a Space-Time Distortion is forming nearby, giving them a narrow window of time to find the Distortion and catch whatever Pokémon have spawned inside. However, the rare Pokémon inside can be extremely challenging to face, so players should be sure to prepare themselves with a strategy and a full stock of necessary items before entering. Certain rare species of Pokémon only spawn inside of these strange purple spheres and don’t spawn anywhere else on the map, and the Pokémon that appear inside are different from many Pokémon throughout Legends: Arceus’ story progression and normal habitats, depending on where they appear.

Unlike Pokémon games of the past, Pokémon Legends: Arceus requires players to do more than encounter and catch a Pokémon to complete its entry in the Pokédex. Each Pokémon must be thoroughly researched, and players can add in-depth information about each Pokémon’s behaviors by doing various Research Tasks. With all the changes Pokémon Legends: Arceus brought to the series, trainers can dive deeper into the world of Pokémon than ever before and play a crucial part in the creation of the first-ever Pokédex.
